Tragic machine _version 2
Effelsberg is the name of a gigantic radio telescope. A second hand satellite dish with a 2 meters disc diameter, reminds us of the shape of the radio telescope. It’s the sculpted body of the structure. The concave dish is set on a metallic basis that keeps it turned towards the Equator. Inside the concavity of the dish, a video projector shows a 2 minutes film–loop with edited scenes of famous films, fragments from TV and documentaries. It represents a collective confession transmitted as a message from the earth to the sky.
